The dream of Wildwood Farm · A place worth growingPresented by Groundcrew & Heather Killebrew · 314-740-7474
The dream of Wildwood

A quiet place with a powerful purpose.

We want to create a real place where remembrance grows, generations connect, and the simple act of planting a tree gives something back.

The vision

From an imagined farm to living ground.

Picture rows of young evergreens, groves planted with intention, winding paths that invite reflection, and people who come not just to visit, but to take part. Wildwood is the working name for that dream.

Our hope is to acquire suitable land and, over time, develop it into a tree farm and a place for memorial, honor and dedication plantings. Families, neighbors and supporters could become part of a shared landscape whose meaning deepens as the trees grow.

Wildwood is not yet a destination. The location, site design, planting options and visitor access will all depend on land acquisition, local requirements, resources and long-term care capacity.

Not a monument carved in stone. A living place that changes with the seasons.

What the farm could become

Subject to feasibility, the project could include tree-growing areas, designated memorial and dedication groves, places for quiet reflection, educational planting days, and opportunities for community stewardship.

We want the dream to remain rooted in reality: appropriate tree species, space for healthy growth, accessibility where possible, land use permissions, and a sustainable plan to maintain the grounds over time.

Envisioned spaces

What we hope the land might hold.

Ideas for design exploration, not confirmed facilities or services.

01 / TREES

A working tree farm

A place to raise, plant and care for climate-appropriate trees with responsible growing practices.

02 / MEMORY

Living memorial groves

Thoughtful spaces for honoring lives and personal stories, subject to available sites and policies.

03 / PEOPLE

Gathering and reflection

Trails or quiet places where visitors can pause, connect and experience the landscape.

04 / FUTURE

Education and care

Stewardship, seasonal volunteer opportunities and tree-care learning as capacity develops.

The first real step

Before planting, we must secure a place to plant.

An inspiring image is the starting point. A suitable property, committed supporters and a realistic long-term plan will make the dream possible.
