July 27, 2026, would have been our 25th wedding anniversary. Even though she isn’t here to celebrate it with me, I still feel the love we shared every single day. She was my best friend and the heart of our family. This picture reminds me of where we started and how far we came. I am so thankful for every moment we had together. She will always be the love of my life.

Dawne spent her very last morning searching for houses in Wildwood. Her final wish was for us to move there so we could be close to her father and the nursing home where he was staying. That is why Wildwood means so much to our family now. Dawne always had such a beautiful heart. She was constantly thinking about how to care for the people she loved and how to keep our family together. When I look at this old photo of us, I see the love that started it all. This place will always hold a special piece of her spirit and the dream she had for us. We are finally where she wanted us to be.
